Kid job

Kids can help layer the pudding, count the berries, and arrange them on top like little edible rainbows.

What you need

  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 4 clear plastic cups or small glass cups
  • Fresh berries: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries
  • Optional: a sprinkle of granola or a few mini chocolate chips on top

How to make it

  1. 1Ask a grown-up to help you pour the cold milk into a mixing bowl.
  2. 2Sprinkle the instant vanilla pudding mix into the milk.
  3. 3Use a whisk or a big spoon to stir it together for about 2 minutes, until it is smooth and creamy.
  4. 4Let the pudding sit for 5 minutes so it can get nice and thick.
  5. 5Spoon the pudding into each clear cup, filling them about three-quarters full.
  6. 6Wash the berries and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  7. 7Top each cup with a colorful mix of berries — strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
  8. 8If you want, sprinkle a little granola or a few mini chocolate chips on top for extra crunch.
  9. 9Pop the cups in the fridge until family night, then enjoy your fruity reward!

Grown-ups: please help with the oven, the stove, and anything sharp.
