Makes

One 9-inch pazookie (about 8 servings)

Time

25 minutes

Kid job

Kids can press the dough into the pan and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. A grown-up handles the hot oven and skillet.

What you need

  • 1 package (24 count) frozen or refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1/2 cup extra chocolate chips (for extra gooeyness!)
  • Vanilla ice cream for topping

How to make it

  1. 1Ask a grown-up to heat the oven to 350°F.
  2. 2Let the cookie dough sit out for about 5 minutes so it is soft enough to squish.
  3. 3Spray a 9-inch round cake pan or oven-safe skillet with nonstick spray.
  4. 4Wash your hands, then press all the cookie dough into the pan so it covers the bottom in an even layer.
  5. 5Sprinkle the extra chocolate chips all over the top and press them in a little.
  6. 6Ask a grown-up to bake the pazookie for 18–22 minutes, until the edges are golden and the center is still a little soft.
  7. 7Let it cool for 5 minutes, then add a big scoop of vanilla ice cream right in the middle.
  8. 8Grab spoons and dig in while it is warm and melty!

Grown-ups: please help with the oven, the stove, and anything sharp.
